Heavy vehicle mechanic

MAIN FUNCTIONS

At Bourret, the heavy vehicle mechanic is responsible for carrying out PEP inspections and preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers, in addition to repairs requested by the foreman.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Keeping your work environment clean and orderly
  • Ensuring you follow the rules regarding health and safety

PROFILE WANTED

Who are we looking for? The heavy vehicle mechanic must:

  • Hold a DEP in heavy vehicle mechanics
  • Hold PEP certification (an asset)
  • Prove resourcefulness, autonomy and perseverance
  • Love teamwork

Internships and corporate training available for graduating students

CONDITIONS

  • Full-time work;
  • Permanent position;
  • Competitive remuneration established according to the collective agreement (up to $27.38/h);
  • Premium of $0.60/h for the evening shift and $1.00/h for the night shift;
  • Time and a half pay after eight hours per day for mechanics;
  • Group insurance is paid at +/- 70% by the employer, including eye and dental care. Medications are reimbursed at 80%;
  • Three shifts offered, either day, evening or night from Monday to Friday;
  • Pension fund (after one year of 'seniority).
